AFRICAN CHALLENGE SCOTLAND (ACS) is a voluntary organisation which is Scotland wide and based in Glasgow it helps build more successful integrated communities, relieve poverty, advance education and promote cultural and sporting links between African’s and Scottish population.
We are often, the first point of contact for many families from black and ethnic minorities throughout Glasgow and beyond. African Challenge can also refer you to other organisations, if we feel they can help support your needs.
Our programs aim to bring about positive transformations in individuals, organizations, and communities.
Skill Development: We prioritise skill development as a cornerstone of our programs. Participants often acquire new, relevant skills that not only contribute to personal growth but also enhance their capabilities.
Fostering Innovation: Many of our programs foster innovation and creativity. By encouraging participants to think critically, explore diverse perspectives, and embrace creativity, we contribute to a culture of innovation that can have ripple effects.
Community Engagement: Our community-focused programmes aim to strengthen social ties and engagement. Whether through educational initiatives, volunteer opportunities, or collaborative projects, we strive to create a sense of community among participants, leading to positive social impacts.

Volunteering is very flexible, so you can choose whether to support us at events or, for example, volunteer once per month. Our activities are constant, so there is always opportunities to help out.
