Goals
To deliver a positive impact, we must be able to drive, manage and measure our performance well. This requires best practices and tools that provide structure, direction and consistency in decision-making and operations.
Here are few ways we challenge how we work through our policies and practices:
Our approach to quality delivery, The National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC) inspires our people to raise the bar for delivery excellence. It sets the direction for continuously improving the quality of our Training and resources in safeguarding and child protection and ensuring we deliver high-quality solutions for our organisation and for our service users.
We work in partnership with communities at grassroots level and with relevant stakeholders to achieve a wide range of charitable objectives in line with the requirements of the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR).
We have a distinctive approach to safeguarding in our organisation linked to Getting It Right for Every Child (GIRFEC) which promotes action to improve the wellbeing of every child and young person.
Safeguarding is a golden thread that runs through the curriculum of all our projects. The aim is to support the development of learner’s knowledge, skills and resilience to keep themselves safe and protected, and to develop an understanding of the world so that they can respond to a range of issues and potential risky situations arising throughout their lives.
When crafted thoughtfully and aligned with our organisation's values and goals, policies become instrumental in driving positive outcomes.
We're committed to continual improvement, deploying a learning methodology to improve future projects and help us develop solutions for Black community and its people and other ethnic minority groups in Glasgow.
We continually engage with Black and Ethnic Minorities voluntary sector and its communities, which enable us to gather intelligence about the needs and issues affecting the sector. This helps our organisation to deliver tailored support to the sector, and to work strategically with public, statutory, and government agencies to tackle a range of prevalent issues such as race equality, social inclusion, capacity building and civic participation.
